BAGHDAD, Dec 27 (Reuters) - Roadside bombs killed two U.S. soldiers and wounded five in two separate blasts in Iraq, the U.S. military said on Monday.

An attack on a U.S. military patrol in Samarra, about 100 km (60 miles) north of the capital, killed one soldier and wounded another overnight, it said in a statement.

A second soldier was killed and four wounded by another blast in Baghdad early on Monday morning, it said. The statements gave no further details.

1. I guess this will make tonight's local news in a little blurb
Probably just a mention (and that's really only likely if the soldiers were local and the families have been notified).

Hey Rummy, get out your pen!

3. What's the Total Count of Dead GI's Now ......
We've had the bombing in the mess tent in Mosul and I've heard of a couple of other instances like this one you posted. I have not seen nor heard in the MSM the total count.

6. What's really sad is when
you realize almost every day you read stories very similar to this. They start to blur into each other and seem like this relentless march of death day after day after day after day.

8. I know.
My brother in law is there now and we're scared silly for him. He has two little girls who are two and four. I can't think about it too much or I'd be a wreck all the time.
