Howard, Downer must resign: Richard Butler
Edited on Sat Jul-12-03 10:13 PM by DoYouEverWonder
Looks like the shit is hitting the fan in Australia, too. Weaponsgate is now a global scandal.

http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2003/07/12/1057979652876.html

July 13 2003

The man once charged with the United Nations's disarmament of Iraq has called for the resignation of Prime Minister John Howard and two senior cabinet ministers for misleading Australians about the reasons for going to war.

Richard Butler, now diplomat in residence at the Council of Foreign Relations in New York, said yesterday it was unacceptable for the ministers to blame the public service for "the lies and fabrications" told to the Australian public in the lead-up to the invasion of Iraq.

"This Government sent young Australians overseas to kill and be killed. It is in this context that we are being told by ministers that they made decisions on information that was false, but that they didn't know it was false.

"If this is so, then either the Government is running a lousy and out-of-control public service, or the public service is in collusion with the Government and is prepared to take the rap for lies," Mr Butler said.

1. Wow
Wasn't Butler a major hawk leading up the war? IIRC he was one of the guys saying with certainty "We know Saddam has WMDs." Looks like he's done a pretty dramatic 180.

2. Exactly.
I have a copy of the CNN matchup between Butler and Ritter. It is priceless.

4. I recall him being very hawkish. Praised the buildup because
it put pressure on Saddam.(Of course, Bush intended to go to war all along, so the buildup wasn't for that.)And he kept yelling that Saddam wasn't cooperating because S. wasn't admitting he had WMD's and pointing out the exact places to find them. He did want inspections to go on longer.

I mostly remember he being a complete a** and arguing with Ritter and being condescending to everyone. Only he was right. A-hole deluxe.

5. It's not Butler, himself. This is a CFR takedown, folks.
<Richard Butler, now diplomat in residence at the Council of Foreign Relations >

The CFR is virtually a wholly owned subsidiary of the Rockefellers. Jay Rockefeller (John J. IV) is the heir and namesake to the old robber baron himself. When Senator Rockefeller started to speak out publicly a few weeks ago, I was convinced the house of cards was about to be brought down.

The BFEE has been a subsidiary of the Rockefellers for generations (since Sam Bush, to be precise). They've been allowed to make their side deals as long as they stayed loyal to the larger interests. This gang has set up in business on their own. That's a no-no. They've also made a collosal mess of it. And that's an even bigger no-no.

8. That's pretty much what Mike Ruppert has been saying.
This was Ruppert's prediction made just prior to the start of the Iraq war in March.

.......Leaders of the World Trade Organization (WTO), as reported in a March 15 story in the International Herald Tribune have said, "All international institutions would suffer a loss of credibility if the one superpower appeared to be choosing which rules to obey and which to ignore." And a Rockefeller has called for an investigation of a Bush. On March 14 The Associated Press reported that W. Va. Senator Jay Rockefeller has asked the FBI to investigate forged documents which were presented first by Britain and then the United States showing that Iraq had been trying to purchase uranium from the African country of Niger for its weapons program. Of all the glaring falsehoods told by the administration the fact that these forgeries were noted by a Rockefeller may make them the second-rate Watergate burglary of the 21st century. (See Part II)

There are few things more closely connected to or identified with Bush family power than globalization and the Rockefellers. He has most likely failed both of them and both have the power to remove him.

Too much, too little, too late; at least as far as preventing a war and massive carnage is concerned. But these developments suggest that the real powers that be might be getting ready to have Bush impeached just as soon as he has humiliated the United States, started a World War leading to the deaths of perhaps millions of people, destroyed the efficacy of the United Nations and secured the Iraqi oil fields. This is a playing field which the biggest money might desire and for which it might be willing to offer a sacrifice if it becomes necessary. If the war turns out to be a dismal failure then the scapegoat has volunteered for his own hanging and there are signs that it is being prepared.

One thing is certain. If George W. Bush is removed from within, it will signal nothing other than a new "kinder, gentler" set of managers pursuing the exact same agenda as before. The dirtiest work will have been done.

9. Ruppert's prophesy reads like current events
I have to admit that I had held him in some skepticism because of the 9/11 Vreeland stories, but these Perfect Storm documents are truly amazing in their accurate analysis now, right down to the prediction of the key players. His further forecasts are quite chilling.

Thanks for the links, JC.

7. This is TRULY amazing. We all know bush has botched everything
he touches. Amazing. Now, he's ruining things on - how many continents? How many governments? He's shredded the countries of Afghanistan and Iraq, he's about to cause a meltdown in Australia, AND Britain. Not to mention his own back yard. But this time, Daddy and his wealthy, connected pals won't be able to bail him out. This time, Junior's just messed too much up, too badly. Amazing. About to bring down three governments, aside from the ones he had bombed.

And creating world chaos, in order to significantly reduce the world's population, part of some of the really, wacko neocons plan?

Looks like Bu$hCo is suceeding beyond their wildest dreams.
