Jordan Calls on Iraqis to Go to Polls
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20050106/ap_on_re_mi_ea/jordan_iraq_s_neighbors&cid=540&ncid=1473

AMMAN, Jordan - Jordan urged that Iraqi elections proceed as scheduled and called on all Iraqis to seize a "golden opportunity" and go to the polls Jan. 30 to elect an assembly that will write a constitution.

Jordan had previously backed postponing the elections, but Jordanian Foreign Minister Hani al-Mulqi opened a meeting Thursday of foreign ministers of Iraq (news - web sites)'s neighbors by urging there be no delay in the landmark ballot.

"From this podium, I call on all factions of the Iraqi people, young and old, men and women, to go to the polls to choose their representatives and draw their own future," Al-Mulqi said. Failing to do that "will leave the door open for others to choose for them."

The vote, he said, is "a golden opportunity for all Iraqi men and women to contribute to putting Iraq on the right track, to build the state of law and return security and stability."

Keep in mind that this horse shit is coming from a country that is governed by a well spoken, young thug in a suit who inherited his right to be King of Jordan until he dies. Just like his daddy before him. No polls, no elections, no nothing. His is just a well dressed dictator with a pretty wife who rides a Harley, and lives like a......well he lives like a King, while the majority of his people live in squalor. And he has the temerity to tell the Iraqis to go vote. What a joke. This story was written by a mouth breather for the consumption of other mouth breathers. Avg Rating: 4.33, 6 votes so far.

2. Seen any photo essays of the good Kings goons torturing prisoners for Bush?

A season of cruelty

According to the Washington Post, US officials superintend most of
the interrogations, especially those of senior captives.

Smaller fry are handed over to less squeamish interrogators in Jordan,
Egypt or Morocco, together with the lists of the questions to which the CIA
requires answers.

These "extraordinary renditions" are subject to no legal controls, although
the appointed torturers have frequently been the subject of angry
denunciations by US human rights organisations.

"According to US officials, nearly 3000 suspected Al-Qaeda members and
their supporters have been detained world-wide since September 11, 2001.
About 625 are at the US military's confinement facility at Guantanamo Bay,
Cuba. Some officials estimated that fewer than 100 captives have been
rendered to third countries. Thousands have been arrested and held with US
assistance in countries known for brutal treatment of prisoners, the
officials said."

Cofer Black, who heads the CIA counter-terrorist centre, said: "There was a
before 9/11 and an after 9/11.

"After 9/11 the gloves come off." Part of the glove stripping process is
that of rendering. We don't kick the shit out of them. We send them to
other countries so they can kick the shit out of them."

6. Yeah, I'll bet he wants the elections to occur as scheduled.
Anything to keep the Iraq mess from spilling over into his yard.
