Chicago Sun-Times Top Editor Heads to Daily News

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Chicago Sun-Times editor-in-chief Michael Cooke will head to the New York Daily News tabloid to become its top editor in February, a Daily News spokeswoman said on Thursday.

Cooke, 51, has been the chief editor at the Chicago Sun-Times for the last five years. The editor-in-chief job at the Daily News had been open since October 2003.

until Murdoch turned the NY Post into the FOX News Daily. Now it is a necessary 'Delta Mirror' alternative for the masses, keeping the propaganda to a minimum. I am not familiar with Cooke. Hopefully he is either Progressive or has an open mind.

That just doesn't sound like a good qualification to me, even if these are small publications. You would think they wouldn't accept that terminology with its negative connotation. Hey they are proud of their lurid and sensational stories. Heck it sells their papers.
