McConnell, Other Senators Visit Baghdad
http://www.wkyt.com/Global/story.asp?S=2784198

Senator Mitch McConnell toured Baghdad Saturday and stressed that Iraqi elections would take place as scheduled on January 30th. His comments came amid an escalating insurgency believed to be led by minority Sunnis.

McConnell says everyone believes that attacks will increase as the elections approach. But he says the date is set. McConnell flew into Baghdad with Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, of Tennessee, and several other senators for a one-day visit from Kuwait. The group attended a meeting with Prime Minister Ayad Allawi and Sunni leaders.

At one point during their tour, a bomb went off in Baghdad's "Green Zone" -- home to many Iraqi government offices. Though the senators weren't threatened, one said the bombing felt close.

... So who here believes they actually "toured Baghdad"?

3. Mitch McConnell is a corporate whore
I hope he visits Baghdad more often. Maybe he could vacation there for a while.

5. Actually I think
Fallujah is more to his lifestyle. You know, wreck and ruin, shock and awe. I hear they have a nifty Ritz Fallujah that he and Elaine could stay in.

6. I wish he'd stay there. He is my so-called Senator and he is a
loser. I heard from some attorneys that he graduated near the bottom of his class at U of L Law School. I do not know if it is true, but it is not hard to believe.
