President Bush Lauds America's Historically Black Colleges and Universities
Issues proclamation to mark week in honor of the 105 schools of higher education

Historically black colleges and universities have played and will continue to play an important role in educating Americans throughout the United States, President Bush proclaimed September 12.

Bush's proclamation was issued to celebrate National Historically Black Colleges and Universities Week. Bush commended America's 105 historically Black Colleges and Universities for their dedication to academic excellence. (snip)
