Massive supremacist investigation started with Menifee man (CA) |
|
White supremacist was recruiting schoolkids! RIVERSIDE ---- A Menifee man who voluntarily worked with the football team at Paloma Valley High School is among 19 people who have been arrested in connection with alleged white supremacist groups in Southwest County.
Howard Michael Marshall was the starting point in a four-month investigation that led to the arrests and the seizure of almost 100 automatic and semiautomatic weapons as well as an estimated 15,000 rounds of ammunition, Sheriff Bob Doyle said Tuesday.
Marshall, 44, has been charged with seven felonies, including possessing a controlled substance for sale, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and receiving stolen property, according to Riverside Superior Court records. He also faces additional allegations of gang activity, records state.

Marshall had been doing strength training and nutritional work for the football players at Paloma Valley High, authorities said Tuesday. Doyle said high school students had joined white supremacist groups because of Marshall. He said the investigation shows that most of those being recruited ranged from ages 13 to adult. http://www.nctimes.com/articles/2005/01/26/news/californian/23_06_551_25_05.txt

and the school didn't think that maybe he wasn't likely to be a good fit as one to work with teenagers. I mean - what kind of judgement is shown when someone is involved in stealing valuable property, and "refiguring it" for resale? Not that this would suggest that the guy was involved with supremecy activities or illegal weapons related issues... it would suggest that maybe dude wouldn't be a good influence...
