Explosions jolt central Baghdad
AT least three explosions jolted central Baghdad this morning, shooting a plume of smoke into the sky on the eastern side of the Tigris river.

Three loud booms, followed by a salvo of gunfire, rocked the city just before 7:30 am (1530 AEDT).

A cloud of smoke rose up in the vicinity of the Rusafa district.

7. Only those who don't have kids there
It's almost 100% foolproof among those I know and work with in daily life. Those of us with kids/relatives over there carry a very different position of those who have kids in college, etc. In fact it is infuriating. I have a lady friend who thinks the military is the way to go for those needing a paycheck. In the meantime she is paying her 20 year old son's college tuition for part-time enrollment and supporting him 100%. Caste system is on its way.

10. Mission Accomplished
Just goes to show how we are winning. Could Hillary explain that to us. Must be nice to have a Democracy where a foreign Country is roaming your streets with Armies and tanks. Reminds me of Poland during World War 2. Now there was a Democracy the Bush's would love.

Buy more stock in Halliburton and Carlye.

11. Speaking of Poland during World War 2
Hit.

Resistance bombs, undiscovered by American robots kill
eight US troops southwest of Hit.

A source in the puppet so-called “Iraqi rapid deployment unit”
in al-Hadithah told Mafkarat al-Islam that 11 Americans
were killed or wounded on Wednesday and two
Humvees destroyed and one disabled, confirming the
story above.

After the blast, US forces encircled the area of the attack.
Using loudspeakers they announced that the city would
be receive “corrective punishment,” the first part of which
on Wednesday was the imposition of a curfew on the
residents of the city from 3pm until 7am the next morning.
The Americans threatened to keep the curfew in force for
many long days if local residents do not turn over
Resistance fighters to the invader troops. They also
indicated that they would cut off electricity and water from
the local people in coming
days.
