Growing Speculation Hovers Over Bill Frist
JACKSON, Tenn. - At stop after stop in his home state of country music and rhythm and blues, Sen. Bill Frist - the majority leader of the U.S. Senate - hears the siren song of higher office. From the boardroom of an all-black college to the head table of a county GOP dinner, Frist hears the same appeal: Run for president in 2008.

The presidential speculation, feverish in his home state of Tenn, may seem preposterously early. But it's become a plot line in Washington that hovers over Frist's obligation as Senate majority leader to push President Bush's ambitious agenda into law, from changing Social Security to appointing conservative judges.

Somebody needs to patent rubber dead cats now. Really gnarly looking ones that will make a nice effect when they fly in from the crowd and land with a thud on the stage at Senator Kitty Killer's feet.

2. Mark my words,
Cheney will resign for health reasons in the next couple of years and bush* will appoint Frist as his v.p. so he can have some experience going into 2008. Write it down! :-)

3. When Frist goes for President in '08 will the Religious Right
even blink about the fact that abortions are performed at Frist-owned medical facilities in Nashville? Naaaah...

7. The reason I say this is because the rpukes are nowhere near
finished with their agenda, in fact they've hardly begun. They need someone they can trust to fulfill it and since cheney* isn't running in 2008 Frist is as close as they can come to finding someone to carry on.

15. I think you're right about that agenda.
But I hold out hope that Frist will bore voters to bits. He's very dull on the stump.

27. Yes, ol' Jeb is probably down there weighing his options.
Perhaps Fate will be kind to the progressives and Jeb will be devoured by a ravenous crocodile on a public relations jaunt into the Everglades.

I don't think crocodiles are all that political, and a Republican governor is no better or worse to them than a Democratic governor.

But in this case I hope that the crocodile in question has a powerful hankering for GOP governors.

Bon apetit, crocodiles!

8. If that quotation is totally accurate, Frist is one sick dude.
Even fundies, if they love cats, won't support someone that creepy (I hope!).

18. I get this weird feeling from Frist
Something's really not right there.

Maybe it's a girl thing, but that guy's far creepier than - I think - anyone even suspects.

Somewhere there's a door to a closet. Inside the closet are all kinds of secrets he's hiding.

I just get this feeling about him.

25. I sure do agree with that. I can't put my finger on it but the guy truly
is awfully creepy. And I don't think I get the feeling just because of what I know about him, it's the look in his eyes or body language or...well shit I just don't know exactly. If I was having heart surgery and he walked in, I'd run for nearest exit, that's for sure!

The guy's got all the charisma of a two-by-four, with less charm. None of that 'have-a-beer' thing the sheeple seem to want.

the other day, and the local right wing rag ran his pic (in scrubs, no less) on the front page.

They guy has no personality or charisma - he's like a zombie.

30. Yeah, but folks...
...remember that Frist's true character/charisma or lack thereof has VIRTUALLY NO BEARING on his viability as a candidate. All the 'pukes need is kkk to work his evil spell and the press will lionize cat-killer.

Remember, if kkk could make an incompetent boob like * prezident (w/help from the voting system), he could take a homeless guy off the street and get him into the White House.

Expect that, whether Frist or Jebblubber or someone else, kkk has the next couple of yrs to turn some crooked nasty 'puke into Grade A Preziduntial beef.

And I, for one, have no more confidence that the corpse media will accurately portray the next heartless bastard than they did the chimp (= virtually not at all).

By the way, in addition to being a heartless psychopathic cat murderer, Frist and his family's chain of HMOs pulled the biggest scam in Medicare history (record fine for ripping off the taxpayers). How much about THAT do you ever hear??? (crickets chirping)

P.S. I agree that Frist is exceptionally creepy.
