No link yet but: Germany kisses Bush's rear
This is from the New York Times:

NEWS ALERT
German Leader and Bush Agree That Past Differences on Iraq Are Behind Them (9:54 AM ET)

Unfortunately there is not yet a story to click on but I thought I'd post the news alert anyway.

If it is not appropriate I am sure it will be moved or locked.

4. Here is the link: Schroder kisses Bush rear
http://www.nytimes.com/2003/09/24/international/24WIRE-PREXY.html

NEW YORK (Reuters) - President Bush and German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder said Wednesday they had set aside past differences on Iraq and agreed to work together toward bringing stability to the country.

Bush, with Schroeder sitting at his side, told reporters he had told the German leader that "look, we've had differences, and they're over." Schroeder said: "Indeed we very much feel that the differences ... have been left behind."

more on the NYT website.

Not it does not surprise me. Criminals like Bush are used to getting what they want by bribery. It works for the mob and it works this group of mobsters as well.

6. This is the public showing and W isn't keen on giving out details
So the NYT whores for W and continues to promote his image of being STRONG and DECISIVE while the deal that is really worked out will not be reported on. If pressed for details W&co. will do what they always have which is to say nothing until the questions stopped being asked and the press in Iraq will not report on all the Germans and French and Russians who seem to be popping up all over the place.
