1. Interesting take on this: |
|
That is a sorry state of affairs," said Robert Thompson, director of the Center for the Study of Popular Television at Syracuse University. "I think most people, when they heard that the interview was going to happen, just assumed they weren't going to hear anything new that they hadn't already heard."
Maybe people didn't want to hear anymore lies. Faux and Bush....give me a break!
Senator Bennett just said at the hearings that he doesn't believe CNN tells the truth.......he gets his truth from Faux. This coundty is really in trouble!

was probably slated to air when it did, in conflict with Monday Night Football, etc., because is was planned that way, and Rove probably had the last say in that. Rover knows his boy isn't doing too well in the polls and basically sucks on a global level. So, while it may have been expedient to be "up close and personal", and still throw in all the BS re: Iraq, funding, terrorism, etc., prior to going before the UN Security Council, it was also a good idea that not too many Americans actually tune in on an interviw that would show Georgie Porgie's true speaking abilities, as well as his personal poise and finesse: otherwise recognized as pure idiotic stupidity when it comes to real life dyadic intercourse.

Guess we can understand now why we have "Whore News." When you cut out a whole half of the country.......you have some problems.

Sitting through a trashing of da Raiders was immensely more bearable than sitting through a very edited and contrived piece of bullshit.

Well, we Broncos fan did enjoy the thrashing of the Raiders -- it was much needed. And with Jerry Porter out, the Raiders are pretty much out of it.
And the whole game -- I didn't even bother to watch Faux. The local rag said that the MNF game on Monday was the 2nd highest rating ever in our area for a football game. The other one being back in '99.

I tried to watch the trash, but simply could not endure it. I watched football and read some Vonnegut.

It's a poor network that blames audience apathy for the low ratings of its Sunday evening crapfest.

My functions let go immediately upon hearing the monkey's voice or seeing its image flashed on a screen. Fortunately, I've never had to smell it (the monkey). Not sure what would happen then.

8. Bush continues to imprison Americans through fear mongering |

Edited on Wed Sep-24-03 02:15 PM by lebkuchen
but since the US is closing in on the World Series and football season, those propaganda tactics don't "take" as they do in, say, the month of February, unless there's another terrorist attack to disrupt America's sports schedule.

19. WHOA!!! UPN AND WB both beat out Bush |
|
I mean, Fox routinely beats out some of the Big Three networks, but for UPN and WB to beat them....that's pretty bad!!
The Bush interview trailed an episode of UPN's comedy "The Parkers" and the series premiere of the comedy "Eve," starring the singer of the same name. Those two shows together averaged about 4.49 million total viewers and around a 2.0/6 in the 18-49 group.

i got stuck watching it because my GF wouldn't let me change the channel. at 3 seperate times i came very close to tossing a brick through the TV.
and of course, thanks to Chimpy McGee's economic 'plan', the only thing all of us can afford are bricks. christ.
