Jonathan King told to 'shut up'
Jonathan King told to 'shut up'

Convicted paedophile Jonathan King has been told to "shut up" for his victims' sake as he continues to protest his innocence after his release from jail.

The disgraced music mogul was a "danger to young boys" and his "perversions" caused revulsion, Victims of Crime Trust's Norman Brennan has said.
----------------
Clarence House also issued a statement dismissing King's claims that Prince Charles sent him a letter of support.

A spokesman said King wrote to Charles several years ago and a reply was issued from the office, but not from the Prince.

1. Boy, those Nambla values Republicans know no bounds.
Have you noticed how so many NeoCon supporters are not well units?

I think is the Rove factor, personally.

8. Did I miss the part of the story where this guy is a
NeoCon supporter? This is the first I heard of this story, so possibly I've missed the background.

10. Got it.
Sadly, in these days, it appears the New Laborites are more supporting of the NeoCons than the Tories (although I wouldn't trust Michael Howard on this issue...he's just using it running up to the next elections).

2. Oh for crying out loud
I have one of his albums from the late 60s or early 70s and he was a known pedophile THEN.The more I see of child molesters, the more I realize they can't be cured. Underneath all the denial, they feel they have a right to molest children.

4. He was briefly a pop star in England
He had a hit in the late 60s with Everyone's Gone to the Moon, then did a bunch of novelty songs. Then he started a record label and had some modest hits.

5. Great chum of Jeffrey Archer and Kevin Maxwell.
"Mr di Stefano (his lawyer) said his client intends to write a musical about Cole Porter. King has also promised to campaign for people falsely accused of crimes."

7. Beyond the moon and to the outer limits of planet X...

Last night, I was surfing my hometown newspaper online.

The newspaper allows you to do keyword searches on their archived newspapers. I typed in the name of the man, a police officer, who molested me when I was a child.

Several articles popped up.

One article struck me:

A woman in town complained that a local theater was showing a film that violated obscenity laws because it featured a child in a sexually suggestive scene. The District Attorney sent in this police officer to determine if the film violated obscenity laws with these scenes involving children. Based on the "report" from this "police officer", the DA concluded that the film didn't violate the obscenity laws. The DA said that the police officer was "bored" during the film.

I'll bet.

I never reported him, so I'm partially to blame. It's very disconcerting that a child molester is entrusted to make decisions for the community regarding obscenity and child exploitation.

I wonder if this "police officer" acknowledged to himself, the cruel irony of the situation. Probably not.

No you are not. Not to blame for anything. The adult is to blame for abusing the child. You were a child and completely innocent. Whatever reaction (or inaction) you had to it was a result of that abuse instigated by him. I'm sure that officer had no reflection about the irony of the situation. So many abusers do not think of the consqequences of their actions. Clearly the impact is lifelong for you. It makes me furious. Thank you for having the courage to share this.
