Iraqi Witnesses: US Fire Killed 4 Civilians
http://www.voanews.com/article.cfm?objectID=2FFA7736-DECA-45B2-925034C177A45A6D

Iraqis in the town of Fallujah say U.S. troops have killed four civilians after opening fire on two cars at a checkpoint. The witnesses say several people were wounded in the incident late Friday, including a young girl.
The U.S. military says troops fired on a vehicle that tried to run through a checkpoint, killing two people and wounding four others. No other details were immediately available.

Fallujah, less than 60 kilometers west of Baghdad, has been a flash point of tension between Iraqi civilians and U.S. forces carrying out security patrols.

Fallujah is in the so-called Sunni Triangle, an area west and northwest of the Iraqi capital where opposition to U.S. occupation forces is strong and violent. U.S. troops shot dead eight Iraqi policemen and a Jordanian hospital security guard in an incident near Fallujah earlier this month.
