BAGHDAD, Iraq (Reuters) - Militants shot and killed 15 Iraqi soldiers south of Baghdad, Iraqi police said Saturday.

The attack occurred near the town of Latifiya, about 30 miles southwest of Baghdad on Friday, police in the nearby town of Mahmudiya said.

The police said the soldiers were being transported in a truck which was pulled off the road by the gunmen, who then shot the troops.

2. This catastrophe
Should always be referred to as Bush's War. He wanted it, lied, bullied, and bulldozed his way to it, and it is now a weight pulling this country under.

You wanted to be the "War President", you ignorant, arrogant, corrupt little twit. I hope the suffering you have caused to the ordinary people of this world is repaid to you seven times seven. War should always be the last option, and even then, it should have the wholehearted support of his betters, the ones who actually laid down their lives

May he and his corrupt crowd be noted out of office next year, and I pray I live to see that day.

3. Yup. This is barely the end of the BEGINNING.
"insurgent attacks' are slowing...because they are becoming MORE ORGANIZED!

The US Occupation is weakening and crumbling, while the Iraqui RESISTANCE is just getting started!

No more lone gunmen and random car-bombs, folks...The Iraqui PATRIOTS are getting their shit in gear. Fewer attacks per month, but more effective!

Shrub has done got hisself a LEGACY! Folks is gonna remember him for centuries...as a legendary ASSHAT.

5. Freedom is on the march.
In 1998 President Bunny Pants is on record as saying when I am President I
will have a war in Iraq.

* is a twit. He thought Daddy could do it (War in Iraq) in a month and on the
cheap. Different war, different time. We are invaders and fighting on their
home turf.

Poster is right we should all start calling this "BUSH'S WAR."

7. Fifteen soldiers killed in roadside bomb south of Baghdad
A roadside bomb killed 15 Iraqi soldiers and wounded several others in Latifiyah, 40 kilometres (30 miles) south of Baghdad, a defense ministry official said. The bomb blew up at 7:30 am (0330 GMT) on Saturday morning as a convoy of Iraqi troops passed through the town, the official said.

No other details were immediately available. The area around Latifiyah, populated by a mix of Sunnis and Shiites, is called the "triangle of death" for its high rate of murders and kidnappings.

In Baghdad, a deputy to anti-American cleric Moqtada Sadr was killed in the southern Dura district as he drove to a protest in the capital against US troops, a Sadr official said.

8. So, the Iraqi troops are out there patrolling all alone now? No Americans
with them?

I've heard of one or two casualties a day, but that just seems so bizarre since it seems like the Iraqi resistance is dipping into it's stash of looted explosives with greater frequency lately.

And what about the 18 that were initially announced dead when the resistance attacked the prison a few days ago?

I think we're being lied to big time.
