3 Indicted in Terror Plot
Edited on Tue Apr-12-05 12:11 PM by Brotherjohn

Translation: "Poll numbers down... TERRA TERRA TERRA!!!"

Wonder how many months ago they were arrested...

ON EDIT:
Oh, I see now. Eight months (arrested in August). It's for the alleged "surveillance" on U.S. financial institutions that occurred before 9-11-01. Now, this may or may not have occurred, but it's hard to tell when you lock people up for months before any due process is allowed, torture these unnamed suspects, and "announce" your "success" in prosecuting the "War on Terror" months (if not years) later.

But it makes it awfully convenient that they now can cite a reason for the Terra alerts on the financial institutions some time ago (and distract from Bolton, Delay, Schiavo, Iraq, gas prices, etc. etc.)

3. Countless fundy-Christian worry threads all over, every day
And this thread is as quiet as a mouse and dismissed.
You have to close the front and back door to keep the cat inside.
Barricading one and leaving the other wide open accomplishes nothing.

8. OK, so DU talks more
about those terrorists the media and government chooses NOT to call terrorists and generally treat with kid gloves compared to the others? And you think that's a bad thing? Why?

5. Three Britons Indicted Over Plot to Hit U.S. Targets
I guess Bushco needs help in the polls. Here's another "victory against terrorism". But shit, they were arrested last year and the crap they are talking about took place before 9/11. Typical BS!

6. Trio charged for terror plot in US

By Justin Davenport Crime Correspondent, Evening Standard
13 April 2005

Three terror suspects being held in London have been charged in the US with an al Qaeda plot to attack financial institutions in New York and Washington.

The three are alleged to have carried out scouting missions at New York's Stock Exchange and Citicorp Building, the Prudential Building in Newark, New Jersey, and the International Monetary Fund and World Bank in Washington.

The men, including a 32-yearold with British and Pakistani citizenship, face four charges in the US, three of conspiracy and one of providing material support to terrorists.

US officials said any attempt to extradite the men would be after their UK trials. The Crown Prosecution Service said these were due to begin in January and any sentences must be completed before extradition.
