Bush Taps Cousin for Paris Post
http://us.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/americas/04/12/us.ambassador.ap/index.html

Stapleton's wife is a Bush cousin, and Stapleton himself is a top campaign fundraiser for GWB. And yet the article states he is a Democrat. How can a Dem be a top fundraiser for Bush, in both elections? He was also co-chair of the re-election campaign in CT.
Hell of a Democrat there.

15. You know when you start with nothing
Anything is a vast improvement.

Nobody in France is going to regret the current ambassador who has never hidden his disdain for French people. He makes people regret the previous one even more.

First you have to marry a Bush and then you need to pay another $60,000 to get the job.

So how are they going to get the money back. Then again Paris is beautiful and there is no draf...

11. isn't he the same guy who told a Czech reporter that Bush can't ride?
Ostensibly he was defending Dubya (something along the lines of "he's not a cowboy type, can't stay on a horse"). But along the way, he kind of blew the Connecticut Cowpoke's cover.

Maybe Bush is giving him this new job as a bribe, so he won't reveal more!
