hateful TX repubs back off gay/lesbian foster parents
Leading Republicans in Texas distanced themselves Friday from a proposal to make the state the only one to prohibit gays and lesbians from being foster parents. It appears the plan will die without becoming law.

A spokeswoman for Rep. Robert Talton, who proposed the ban, said he no longer wishes to discuss the issue.

5. I understand the rules of course. Regardless, these people ARE hateful.
But yes, I realize it's not in the title of the piece.

I just enjoy pointing out that they're hateful. Too bad that couldn't have been the actual headline.

6. Or, maybe Rosie O'Donnell did, too.
She has adopted kids in Florida. But, I'm sure she'd gladly give those repuke idiots in Texas an earful on the subject of gay parenting.
