Arrest after four-year-old raped at Catholic school

A teacher's aide has been arrested after a four-year-old girl was raped at an Adelaide Catholic preschool, police said on Wednesday.

Police said the attack occurred during school hours early last month.

A 28-year-old man from Adelaide's western suburbs was arrested on April 19, following a week-long investigation into the incident, they said.

The man had only recently been employed as a teacher's assistant at the school.
