Bush: Saddam Deceived International Community

President Bush has again defended his decision to go to war against Iraq, telling reporters Saddam Hussein was "a danger to the world." Mr. Bush said the interim findings by his chief arms inspector in Iraq, David Kay, make it clear that Saddam Hussein actively deceived the international community.
President Bush said Mr. Kay's report shows that Mr. Hussein was in clear violation of U.N. Security Council resolutions limiting his access to weapons.

Mr. Kay told U.S. lawmakers today and Thursday that his team has not found any actual weapons of mass destruction in Iraq - but did uncover evidence of what he termed "activities" related to a chemical and biological weapons program. Mr. Kay said the weapons search is ongoing, and his team of experts will need at least six more months before they can reach any conclusions

5. aw, Bush is just lashing out cause Oil hit $30.17 a barrel--

and he and his glassy-eyed, drooling, Christian-Jihadists, better
known as the Bush Administration, are gonna have to beg taxpayers for
Billions more for that hellish fiasco in Iraq.

Saddam did say, "Come to Baghdad". "You will fight in a guerrilla war--street by street, house by house". So he didn't lie. He said
on CBS interview with Dan Rather, "Iraq has no WMD". He didn't lie.

6. Saddam deceived international community?
Only if he convinced them that he was, by 2003, an international danger.

But at least Dubya didn't deceive the international community -- only the American populace.

8. So because Saddam said he didn't have WMD's
and it turns out that he didn't have WMD's, the whole mess is still his fault? Of course, Georgie can never accept responsiblity for anything. Maybe he should stop listening to those little voices inside his head, and start listen to those focus groups that he belittled before the war?

10. So, Bush needs a total of a Year to "find" the WMD?
At the cost of 150 BILLION? and tens of thousands of lives and the loss of any goodwill in the foreign community? And if the weapons inspectors coudl've had their year, what would've that costs?

The point has to be made - Bush is incompetent. He made a bad decision based on rotten or manufactured data. He did so with no reasonable exit plan, or, knew the plan was so rotten that he knew the American public would not support him.

Either scenerio should spell out to any sane American that he cannot be reselected in 04.

12. It takes a deceiver to know a deceiver!
And the dumbest statement ever made. "junior said Mr. Kay's report shows that Mr. Hussein was in clear violation of U.N. Security Council resolutions limiting his access to weapons."

Is this Mr. Kay guy Bob Barr in disguise?

rummy said they knew EXACTLY where WMD were...outside Bagdhad, near Tikrit..powell even had pictures in Feb - can't they find anything that looks like the pictures? Geez, guys what happened?

Am I reading this right? squatter is complaining Saddam deceived the international community because he really didn't have WMD, when he said he didn't? if it is a clear violation of SC resolutions 2 have access 2 WMD - why did the US sell him the same?

edit:add

These rat bastards have told so many lies, from so many sources, from so many angles, no one can keep any of this straight anymore. It's like Dorothy in the tornado w/ the mean old woman on the bike turning N2 the witch on the broomstick. Squatter is in the vortex w/ all the lies spinning past his eyes and, being ADD, he can't pick just one and stick 2 it. He tries out new lies; picks an oldie, but goodie, and polishes it a bit.

I am convinced rove believes the people are all as shallow 'n witless as squatter.

16. And as long as Kay's spending that $600 mil looking...
...we can't turn Iraq over to the Iraqis. When you break it down, if the administration REALLY thinks there are WMD, there is no way they can walk away without finding them...too much danger they'd fall into the wrong hands. They'll never admit there are NO weapons. Therefore, one has to conclude, we'll be in Iraq well after they're ready to govern themselves, and probably until January 2005, when a Democrat takes over in the White House.

I'd also like to get some more details on Kay's report. For example, this missile documentation. They've developed missiles that could fly over the proscribed amount...on paper. Is that a UN violation? If I did the research and wrote up plans for an atomic bomb, does that mean I HAVE an atomic bomb? And I'd like a few more details on this single vial of botulinum toxin found at a scientist's house. Was this guy working on WMD for Saddam, or did he just walk off with a vial from the lab? When did he take it? Was there an active lab at his home? Does botulinum maintain its virulence forever, and how old was this particular vial? So many questions.

14. No He Didn't, Georgie, He Deceived YOU!
The world community knew Saddam wasn't much of a threat. Most of us had figured out that Saddam's little shell game with the inspectors was a way to prevent revealing that HE HAD NO MORE SERIOUS WEAPONS!

You and your ilk got fooled by the shell game, and now you look like the morons you are. Li'l Georgie, resign before you hurt someone else.

15. UN weapons inspectors
Tell us pResident Bush, why didn't we continue to allow the UN weapons inspectors to do their jobs?? None of our soldiers would have died and our country would be $100 BILLION dollars richer if we had simply let the UN weapons inspectors do their job. Idiot.

17. This idiot continues to lie unabated
This administration looks more and more pathetic with every passing day. They are not merely grasping at straws, they are positively lunging at them. There are so many out and out lies that this administration have presented to the world that I guess they figure why stop now. He continues to say that we had to invade because Saddam was defying the international community and not letting the inspectors back into the country. What???? does this country have amnesia? Remember all that Hans Blix bashing that became the national past time for a while last year? He wasn't in Hanoi. These guys lie like a rug and nobody says crap.
