Landstuhl Army Hospital mortuary expands
Army leaders from the Kaiserslautern military community attended a ribbon-cutting for a new addition to the U.S. Army Memorial Affairs Activity-Europe’s building at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. The new 2,000-square-foot entry bay will allow bodies and remains to be removed from hearses inside the mortuary facility.

A portion of the project also provided 2,000 square feet of office space on the second floor. Prior to completing work on the two-year project, such transfers happened regardless of the weather in a parking lot adjacent to the facility, which is also near Landstuhl lodging.

“The directed that’s not how we treat our fallen,” said Lt. Col. Erik Daiga, commander of the 415th Base Support Battalion. “We needed somewhere inside. This is the right thing to do for our fallen soldiers.”

This project was started two years ago. The Bushies were expecting to need it.

Do you all believe the pentagon's offical number of dead and wounded?

And as for Lt. Col. Erik Daiga, you should not bring home our soldiers in the dead of night, not allowing the US public to see the carnage in Iraq is REAL, with REAL human beings being killed. THAT is no way to treat our soldiers!

:grr:

2. Last time I checked, caskets aren't even met by an honor guard
at Landstuhl, which is especially difficult to comprehend by retired vets waiting for the MAC flight, looking out the big glass windows at the caskets stacked on pallets on the tarmac.

I spoke to a medical technician at Landstuhl in Mar., who said CNNI isn't reporting the casualty rate that the medical staff at Landstuhl is seeing. The tech also said that the casualty rate hadn't diminished even since Fallujah, AND that George should have visited Landstuhl rather than his wife, to see the result of his policies.

3. I wish there was some way to get that news out....
The way I see it there is not anything the Pentagon does not lie about. I know they are lying about total casualties. They did the same damn thing during Vietnam. I hope some stealth photographer gets some photos of "stacked caskets". That is revolting and perhaps just might cause some folks to wake the fuck up.

Out of mind! Nice that no one has to see the bloody mess.

Kick the dead under the rug, Quick, the emperor is coming.

5. They held a ribbon cutting ceremony for a mortuary expansion
project? How nice. Did they have those funny looking oversized scissors? Did all the dignitaries smile pretty for the camera? They must be soooo proud of themselves.

:sarcasm:
