Austalia/Cabinet to discuss Afghanistan troop redeployment
Prime Minister John Howard says the Federal Government will consider redeploying troops to Afghanistan at next week's Cabinet meeting.

The Government has been asked by its allies to supply more troops.
Mr Howard says he will not be pulling out of Iraq to make it happen.

"They are two separate issues and I want to make it clear that anything we might decide in relation to Afghanistan will not be at the expense of our commitment to Iraq," he said. "Our commitment to Iraq will be maintained until the job has been finished."

1. Australia has just gotten a second warning...
First Madrid, then London. Will Syndey be next? If Howard doesn't wake up, it could be.
