Feds Bust U.S.-Canada Smuggling Tunnel

By GENE JOHNSON, Associated Press Writer 1 hour, 14 minutes ago

LYNDEN, Wash. - Federal agents have shut down an elaborate, 360-foot
drug-smuggling tunnel dug underneath the U.S.-Canadian border — the
first such passageway discovered along the nation's northern edge,
officials said Thursday.

Five people were arrested on marijuana trafficking charges, U.S.
Attorney John McKay said in this border town about 90 miles north of
Seattle.

The tunnel ran from a quonset hut on the Canadian side and ended under
the living room of a home on the U.S. side, 300 feet from the border.
Built with lumber, concrete and metal reinforcing bars, it was
equipped with lights and ventilation, and ran underneath a highway.

1. Glad they found the tunnel before it came into the sights or radical
muslims.

As to trans-border trade of a surreptitious kind - how many Americans have moved to Alberta in the last 30 years?

17. Probably used only for southbound drugs and northbound guns
The tunnel is good because it allows each country to blame the other for its crime problems.

I was up their for the fourth of july weekend. Took my grandma to lunch. We stopped at this little toy store.

There were Creation Science children's books on display. (in fact I think those were the only books in the store.)

I was a stranger in a strange land.

The website that has the most articles on cannabis is http://www.medpot.net/forums/ The website is owned and manned by Marc Paquette who is once again heading to the Supreme Court because of the failures of Hellth Canada to implement a workable medical cannabis program. He has hepatitis and when that does not interfere with his health he usually post a digest of all the articles at medpot to the HempCity forums out of Holland-

The links below come from that digest and the first one has video.

It was pleasant to see AG Lockyer stop the federal encroachment on state powers. Many police in California ignore the law and the state Constitution is clear where their duty lies. I wish some real damages had been successfully claimed in court as there are too many abuses by the California law enforcers. The bastards need a lesson.

The article on the state restoring the cards went up at CannabisNews- http://cannabisnews.com/news/thread20974.shtml This article was unusual in that it referred/reefered to the law correctly as The Compassionate Use Act. Almost always they say Prop 215 which is not the law. I thought the fact that they did not mention Lockyer by name was a little strange also.

Free Cannabis is just one army against the medical fascists. The seniors are the real bulk of the army that is going to take down the criminals that keep pushing this prohibition bullshit as promoting the general welfare. When you have a government that is in direct opposition to the Preamble, you have a tyranny that has subdued legitimate government. We are ruled by treason and we need to change that.

16. i was camping east of linden up the nooksack a couple years ago
when we came down, the forest service was waiting for us at the bottom of the gravel road. searched the whole car.

only after did we realize that the trail we were on crosses the border. i can't imagine backpacking 80 lbs. of bud over that pass, but hey, you do what you gotta do.
