Cheney to lead U.S. delegation to Saudi Arabia
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Vice President Dick Cheney will lead the U.S. delegation to Saudi Arabia to pay final respects to the late King Fahd, the White House said Tuesday.

"The vice president will lead the presidential delegation to Riyadh to express condolences on the passing of King Fahd and the accession of King Abdullah," said White House spokesman Scott McClellan.

2. Didn't make it to Wellstone's funeral! I honestly believe Wellstone was
assassinated on the orders of Bush/Cheney. When I'm in Heaven, I expect a chocolate ice-cream from you guys when we find out I'm right.

3. Well, finally this VP is doing the job that always used to be
delegated to a VP! Remember when a VP was described as the member of an admin. who didn't really do anything except go to State funerals and vote in the Senate once in a while?

18. In this case, the Saudis know who's really in charge (Cheney).
They couldn't care less about meeting C-czar Disgustsus unless Dickhead Cheney was on hand, whether in Crawford or D.C.

21. LOL! I was thinking the same thing.
It's the first picture that popped into my head when I read he was making this visit. Too bad the climate is so different, maybe he'll come up with an equally inappropriate outfit.

10. If he follows the example set by George W. Bush at the Pope's funeral
and starts feeling a little frisky during the funeral, he may be going home sooner than he had planned.

In the two-page photo spread showing the heads of state at the pope's funeral mass, President Bush and his wife are shown kissing, Queen Sofia of Spain seems to be squinting and smiling, and another woman is looking sideways. It is an interesting picture. But I am trying to imagine why the president is kissing his wife during such a solemn occasion.

24. If Bush kissed his wife during the Pope's funeral
imagine how he would lose control with his boyfriend Abdullah at close range. No wonder he's sending Cheney instead.

Here's a man admiring his impressive sense of style.

He surely stands out as a representative of that "shining city on the hill" or whatever blather Reagan used to spew.
