Department of Defense figures complied by The Associated Press:

15. Interesting comment from my brother-in-law

my husband, who is 50, has a half-brother who is 79. He enlisted in the Navy at 17 during WWII. He became a Navy SEAL during the Korean conflict -- one of the first. And then during Viet Nam, he commanded a fleet of gunboats.
And he says the invasion of Iraq is totally wrong. He doesn't support it at all. He thinks we need to withdraw as soon as is possible.

because I've read that currently, bomb attacks are responsible for 70% of deaths (of US troops).

I think this figure is more accurate. Will try to do some quick research.
