TIKRIT, Iraq (Reuters) - A suicide car bomber killed at least five people and wounded 15 in an attack on an Iraqi police headquarters in the northern town of Tikrit on Sunday, police sources said.

Men volunteering to join the force had been crowding the area at the time, they added.

Tikrit is the home town of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein and lies in the heartlands of the once dominant Sunni Arab minority, some of whom have risen against the new Shi'ite-led government and the U.S. military occupation.

1. Must be getting difficult to figure out how to phrase this over and over
sort of like how there are many different terms for pacific nw weather (partly cloudy, partly sunny, chance of showers, sunbreaks, some son,...). It must be difficult to continue to figure out new ways to say More of the Same. I hate this occupation.

2. I personally like:
Partly cloudy with a chance of showers.

How more vague can you get! "It may or may not rain today".

Iraq's top political leaders were scheduled to meet Sunday to hammer out remaining differences on the draft constitution, due by Aug. 15. On Saturday, Sunni Arabs on the drafting committee rejected Kurdish demands for federalism as long as foreign forces remain in Iraq.

The suicide bomber blew up his vehicle before he reached the back entrance to the Salahuddin provincial police station in Tikrit, 80 miles north of Baghdad, said Lt. Col. Saad Ibrahim.
