Threat Closes U.S. Embassy in Saudi 2 Days

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia - The U.S. Embassy and consulates in Saudi Arabia will be closed Monday and Tuesday because of a threat against U.S. government buildings, the embassy said Sunday.

In a statement, the embassy said mission personnel will limit their nonofficial travel during the next two days and urged Americans to keep "a high level of vigilance."

"The American Embassy in Riyadh advises all American citizens living in Saudi Arabia that, in response to a threat against U.S. government buildings in the kingdom, the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh and the U.S. consulate generals in Jiddah and Dhahran will be closed on Aug. 8 and 9," the statement said.

is a powderkeg ready to blow. I understand they have a 25% unemployment rate. Their population is an average of 25 years of age, so it's a young population, growing by leaps and bounds, and is pissed.

Then you have the Saudi royal family, which just officially changed hands. The Saudi monarchy secretly supports terrorist groups, and Wahhabi, just to keep the people placated.

I've read that a huge portion of the oil revenue just goes to security, to keep these Royal Aziz's safe. When in fact the money could be used for the people of SA, who is rightfully belongs to.

My humble Sunday morning prediction: watch for lots more action in SA.
