Pentagon plans response for homeland attacks
The Post said the possible scenarios envisioned range from low end, such as crowd control, to high end, disaster management after catastrophic attacks.

The war plans represent a historic shift for the Pentagon, which is restricted by law from using troops in domestic law enforcement, according to the Post.

1. Guess that's why they'll be pulling a lot of troops out of Iraq.

3. Why should we be worried? I thought AWOL Bush made the world a safer
place. There haven't been any attacks on the U.S. since 9/11/01 so that automatically means that there will never be any attacks ever again.. right?

check your brains at the door and follow the Bush administration's bouncing ball theory on how "safe" we are..

4. Many historic shifts in bush years. Here's last paragraph too
Defense officials said the troops would play a supporting role in emergencies, backing up police, firefighters and other civilian response groups, the newspaper reported.

What about the National Guard? Aren't they the ones that are supposed to be here playing a supporting role in emergencies?

5. So let's see...
If another attack happens in a big city. Especially if it's a nuke...
1) there will be a curfew.
2) they will pull back the troops from iraq (circling the wagons)
3) all Americans will be issued National ID cards(do you have your
papers?)
4) There will be a soldiers stationed all all major transport hubs.
(just like after 9/11, only permanent)
5) There will be a civilian defense established. (time to rat out
your neighbor)
6) Congress will convene a special session to limit personal
freedoms. (The constitution will basically be null and void)
7) The suspension of the separation of powers.

Side bar: during all of this, all arrests (political or with terroristic ties) will now be secret.

That's just what I have come up with off the top of my head. We will basically be entering into, what I like to call, the Ivan the Terrible era of America.
