Houston moms heading to Crawford to protest war

More protesters from the Houston-area are headed to President Bush's Crawford ranch.


They loaded their cars and left from the Heights area Wednesday afternoon.


They're upset by the mounting casualties in Iraq and are opposed to the Bush administration's handling of the war.


More importantly, they say they want to support a woman who lost her son in Iraq.


That woman, Cindy Sheehan, started the protest. She says she won't leave until President Bush meets with her.


Sheehan calls the protest area "Camp Casey" after her 24-year-old son.


Officers are keeping the several dozen demonstrators some five miles away from the entrance to the ranch.

Granted it's been going on for a while (I was in DC protesting 6 months before the war even started, and I sure wasn't alone!) but this is becoming BIG!!!!

her cousin died last week in Iraq, one of the boys from Ohio.

Her cousin was coming home in September.....

They are covering a VERY important story right now, one that takes precedent over what is essentially a local Waco event.

We, the American public, have an urgent right to know what THE RUNAWAY BRIDE is doing these days! Is she still cutting grass? What color is her nail polish? Does she use Visine?

25. I've got to give credit to CBS

They covered this last night, I usually tune in to NBC, but ge has sent down the no coverage orders, so I've been looking elsewhere. They ran a short report last night, but, it was better than nothing, also they were only off two on the death count, they had 1841, when it's 1843, but, at least they reported it.

Also they did a report on the wounded of this fiasco, featuring a paralyzed helicopter pilot. I'll be tuning in to CBS until they fall back into line.

I was just watching MSNBC while channel surfing and the "newsman" referred to Cindy Sheehan as "that woman in Texas who lost her son". Sheesh. Like he couldn't recall her name or something.
