FAA Admits Close Call For Presidential Helicopters
(CBS) CHICAGO A CBS 2 exclusive has lead to an admission from the FAA that two presidential helicopters were in the wrong place at the wrong time during President Bush’s visit to Chicago earlier this week.

The close call put the presidential helicopters in the path of American Airlines Flight 730 from Salt Lake City, set to land at O’Hare Airport Wednesday afternoon with a full load of 136 passengers.

CBS 2 Aviation Analyst Jim Tilmon broke the story on Thursday’s CBS 2 News at 10PM. He reports that one of the choppers definitely knew something was wrong.

The helicopters in the president's party were instructed to fly on a west heading for five miles before turning further south towards their destination.

8. Deleted messages?
Do the numbers of people that are 'deleted with "0" posts' get subtracted from the number of regestered users? I have been watching the number of members in the last several weeks, and the increase hase been quite wonderful. I have been here since "free ripublic" laughed about us claming to have passed 30,000. Just a little thought that passed through. Does anyone know?

they were a simple response to Mr.bush, not to the people in the airplanes. lighten up please whoever is alerting on these, none of us were advocating any violence towards the people in the planes or Mr.bush. Just expressing feelings about him.

14. yes but
they didn't delete yours yet. I didn't even say a word, just made the noise like in that song "when you're a jet you're a jet all the way" before they start singing.

Imagine how bereaved the families of 136 passengers would've been ... and only a second-hand asshole-in-chief to tell them their sacrifices were worth it.
