9/11 Commissioners Defend Intel Omission
WASHINGTON - The leaders of the 9/11 commission late Friday disputed a congressman's criticism that the panel did not adequately investigate a claim that four hijackers were identified as al-Qaida members more than a year before the attacks.

In a joint statement, former commission chairman Thomas Kean and vice chairman Lee Hamilton said a military official who made the claim had no documentation to back it up. And they said only 9/11 ringleader Mohamed Atta was identified to them and not three additional hijackers as claimed by Rep. Curt Weldon (news, bio, voting record), vice chairman of the House Armed Services and Homeland Security committees.

"He could not describe what information had led to this supposed Atta identification," the statement said of the military official.

They also said no else could place the other three hijackers with Atta in a purported terror cell code-named "Brooklyn" during the time period cited by Weldon.

because they have a lot of questions to answer.

3. They just do 'em; they don't explain 'em.
I watched every hearing publicly, some multiple times. My convictions, despite attempts to simply lay it off as tin foil hattery, were that they were making a deliberate, concerted effort to cover up and misdirect any connection with the now implicated Bush administration. The facts that are now coming to light convince me they are co-equal in guilt for the dead hundreds of thousands and the bankrupting of millions.

7. Those who know the truth and refuse to go along
with the tyrants and crime bosses will be attacked, smeared, and even assassinated when proved too inconvenient. Prepare yourself: the world, as we thought we knew it, has come to an end.

2. Sure surprises me...
Maybe the stories are purposefully incomplete, but my reading of the bios of these characters is that they are and have been crooks-for a long time now,
political persuasion not withstanding.
The ring leaders are, IMHO, bad seeds and have been for thirty years. Correct me if I'm wrong.

5. It is all a brazen attempt to take some of the heat off Bushco admin.
They dropped the ball and they know it. They not only dropped the 9/11 ball, they dropped the Iraq invasion ball and the Afghanistan ball and killed thousands of innocent people in the process. When will the Freepers wake up and admit that Bushco admin has been wrong about everything, including the tax breaks for the wealthy and the permanent and huge tax breaks just given in the so-called energy bill. How much more of screwing do the Freepers have to take before they cry "UNCLE!"

13. never
They will never admit a mistake.
This is same as the Swift Boat people at the end of Viet man refusing to see the horrible abuses of that "police" action.
Or the Reagan people that refuse to see that he committed treason with the hostages and other high crimes with the contras.
If they admit they are wrong, their whole belief system will crumble. They can not let that happen. So deny deny deny. Some have even invested their god in this man.

Good to see some people still value searching out real truth.
