Some Lawmakers Say More Troops Are Needed in Iraq
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Two leading U-S lawmakers suggest the U-S campaign in Iraq is limping for lack of personnel.
Senator Joe Biden tells N-B-C that every officer he met recently in Iraq told him more troops are needed to counter the deadly insurgency. Biden is the ranking Democrat on the Foreign Relations Committee.

Senator John McCain agrees there should be more boots on the ground. He also says too few Iraqis have been trained to take over for the Americans. McCain, the second-ranking Republican on the Armed Services Committee, made his remarks on Fox.

1. Biden is my LAST choice for the nomination in 2008
Well, before Lieberman anyway.

Biden is a camera hound, a pompous, self-serving, plagiarizing, blowhard. He's in bed with MBNA and he's becoming almost as bad as Lieberman with his Bush appeasement on foreign policy.

3. he is worse when it comes to the Iraq mess
he gets an hour every week on National television to repeat his mantra of "more troops, more troops". That makes him the worst in my book. :puke:

4. What good are more troops when the problem is the leadership?
They've thrown troops at the problem of the insurgency. Money. Politics. Training for Iraqi's (biggest jokeof all, mu opinion)

Where is the leadership? Nowhere, that's where.

6. The justification for invading Iraq turned out to be a pack of lies...
...why are we still there, much less worrying about how to defeat the Iraqis we like to call the "insurgency"?

8. They could crank up troop levels under this cover
Then use them in the Iran venture. It would just be going from disaster to disaster squared, but there is precedent in 20th century history for such behavior.

11. More troops won't change the outcome. We've already lost as we deserved
to lose. All more troops will do is cause more death and carnage. Joe...fighting for the Neocons and Israel.
