U.S. soldier buried in Mexico after he was killed in Iraq

MEXICO CITY – A 19-year-old U.S. soldier was buried in Mexico on Thursday after he was killed in Iraq.
Pvt. Ernesto Rodolfo Guerra, a U.S. citizen whose family was originally from Mexico, died a day after he was injured in a July 28 Humvee crash in Baghdad. Army officials listed him from Long Beach, California, and said he had been assigned to 43rd Brigade Troops Battalion, Third Infantry Division out of Fort Stewart, Georgia.

Guerra's body was returned to Mexico on Wednesday, and buried Thursday with military honors in San Francisco del Rincon, in central Mexico.

Guerra's mother, Maria Valadez, attended the funeral and said her son's death "wasn't justified."

"Our sons don't have to die," she said. "They are only boys in a man's body."

1. Rest in Peace, my Brother.
The Swallow

Where will she go, swift and exhausted
the swallow that leaves this place.

If in her flight she should loose her way
looking for shelter that isn't there.

Next to my bed I will make a nest
where she may pass the season.

For I too am lost in this place,
oh blessed heaven, and cannot fly.

For I, too, left the country I love
the home that saw my birth

Today my life is wandering and lonely
and I cannot find my way home

dear bird beloved traveler
my heart I lay next to yours

Today through your song, my tender swallow,
I will remember my country, and cry.

5. This is the Mexican Song of Farewell
Sung to every Mexican that leaves his birthplace.

2. Another broken-hearted mother...
His mother, Maria Valadez, says...

"Our sons don't have to die," she said. "They are only boys in a man's body."

This goes for our sons, or our daughters, our husbands and wives, our brothers, sisters, parents...all of them. This hateful war has caused so much more damage than any body counts could ever show. The deaths are the worst, then there are the maimings, the horrific injuries, and the destruction of innocent citizen's homes, places of work, of worship, all of it.

All of this needless suffering has been caused due to the greed and plundering of the PNACers. They are causing even more anguish to come. Is so much death and pain worth garnering even more wealth? Their greed is a disease that is killing the rest of us.
