Kennedy calls for investigation as Roberts file goes missing
http://feeds.bignewsnetwork.com/?sid=12e5ce36ac30a0ba

Big News Network.com Thursday 18th August, 2005

The National Archives and Records Administration has claimed responsibility for losing a file containing some of Supreme Court nominee John Roberts' work.

The Washington Post reports Sharon Fawcett, the assistant archivist for presidential libraries, said it was her agency's fault for misplacing the file at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, Calif., which contained work Roberts did for Reagan regarding affirmative action.

Roberts was White House associate counsel from 1982 to 1986.

Isn't it Amazing how those files go missing!!!

1. The BFEE has had 5 years!
to purge the Presidential libraries! I'm certain plenty more is missing! It's a crime family, make no mistake about it!

3. How convenient...more missing files.
Did they ever find the missing files for the chimp's TANG service, or his DUI arrest, or Laura's "accident" that killed her boyfriend? How many times can they use the missing file excuse?

19. One conclusion I draw....
... is that snopes really doesn't seem very objective.

I have no opinion on whether this was just a terrible accident or something more sinister. The information is just not there, so I will assume it was an accident.

That said, maybe they did things differently in 1963, but in this day and age you WILL be charged with vehicular manslaughter for such a blatant violation of traffic laws with such consequences.

But there are several rationalizations they make that I find less than convincing. Among them, they say "if she was doing it for revenge, she was endangering her own life as well". Well, maybe. A Corvair was among the smallest cars you could own in 1963. The average car, the typical car, weighed twice what a Corvair weighed. They can't seem to find what make of car Laura was driving. There is also the concept of understanding the result of such a crash. Neither Laura or her passengers were seriously injured, also making that claim suspect.

I realize that the focus of the snopes site is to deflate clearly unsubstantiated rumors/legends, but I wish they'd stick to the facts and refrain from making a judgement when they really don't know what happened either.

Armed Services Committee. I think they eventually disgourged them.

7. They must have only One or two people going through and reading...
...each one of this guys papers, because that's about how fast they ar being released.

If true, this is ridiculous, but I don't place a lot of trust in the "Big News Network." I've tried to figure out WHO the BNN is, but it's one of those that is difficult to find.

Usually that means a RW Propaganda source.

I'm just sayin'.

18. Then if many Dems (albeit improbable) put up a fuss about missing
and/or unreleased files, can our "Dear Leader" make a recess appointment putting ole' Roberts into the Supreme Court? <eg>

It worked with John "Yosemite Sam" Bolton. I wonder?
