Washington warns citizens not to travel to Aqaba

Washington warns citizens not to travel to Aqaba:-

The US has warned its citizens not to travel to the Jordanian Red Sea port of Aqaba, days after rockets were fired at a US warship docked in the port.
One of the three Katyusha rockets fired in the attack missed the USS Ashland. A rocket was also fired at a Jordanian army training centre, killing one soldier and wounding another. A third rocket was fired at the Israeli port of Eilat, 15 km away.

....

"US citizens are also advised to stay away from Aqaba and tourist locations over the next seven days," it added.

Jordan's Interior Minister Awni Yerfas said the warning was "unwarranted", and that life was "back to normal in Aqaba and across Jordan."

6. 7 days?
Whats going to happen in 7 days thats going to make things any safer?

I dont know, but I definitely want to travel to Aqaba. Reminds me of the movie Lawrence of Arabia where the turkish seaport of Aqaba was taken by arabs led by Lawrence. Looks like a great place to go as long as you keep a low profile.
