No one injured in ships' collision
Destroyers Churchill and McFaul collide off Jacksonville coast.

Two Virginia-based Navy destroyers collided off the Jacksonville coast Monday while working with a Nassau County-based strike group.

Cmdr. Conrad Chung, a spokesman with the 2nd Command Fleet, said no one was hurt aboard the USS Winston S. Churchill or USS McFaul.

The ships were conducting exercises about 1:30 p.m. when the collision occurred.

He said the damage to the two ships was minor and a repair estimate wouldn't be completed until today when the ships dock back in Norfolk, Va.
