Man charged with threatening Florida governor

BRENDAN FARRINGTON

Associated Press

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - A man apparently upset that the Florida Department of Children & Families wouldn't help him obtain psychiatric medications was charged Wednesday with threatening Gov. Jeb Bush.

Nathan Wayne Stewart, 46, of Tallahassee, called the Gov.'s Citizens Services Office several times last Thursday and complained about DCF. During one call, he said, "If I don't get my meds soon, I will have to kill someone," according to an affidavit signed by Special Agent Brian Gaynor.

Stewart said he was a mental patient who was off his psychiatric medication, according to the affidavit.

The office reported Stewart to the FDLE, who interviewed him the same day. Stewart acknowledged he told the operator he "felt like strapping a bomb to himself and attending the next governor's meeting."

1. As long he goes on TV and apologizes for it...or...hey...how about this?
What if he just said someone should "take him out"?

2. I guess all he has to do is say he voted Republican
And that he's a staunch Christian conservative, and he'll get off with minimal whatever.

6. He's a private citizen. People say things like that all the time.
However, I think the real suspect who was off his meds was named *.
