Bush asked to attend Muslim convention
CHICAGO, Aug. 26 (UPI) -- The Islamic Society of North America is urging President Bush to attend its convention in Chicago to help improve the U.S. image in the Muslim world.

The group, which will hold its convention over the Labor Day weekend, says top Bush aide Karen Hughes is planning to attend.

But its leaders say Bush's presence would show the world's 1.2 billion Muslims the United States truly respects and honors Islam, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

"If he really wants to make a difference, a real impact, he should come himself," ISNA Secretary-General Sayyid Syeed said.

2. This administration is totally focused on its own image, not the nation's.
I wish he would choose to attend the Muslim convention. But, he won't.

8. Bush is afraid of one mother of a dead soldier, I'm sure no one
believes he has the courage to attend this convention - he's be so scared he's wet himself.

9. ISNA is a RW Islamic group
They were one of the groups that formed the Alliance for Marriage, the Alliance for Marriage helped create the Federal Marriage Amendment.

This Muslim does not support ISNA.
