More journalists have been killed in Iraq than were killed in Vietnam
Since U.S. forces and its allies launched their campaign in Iraq on March 20, 2003, 66 journalists and their assistants have been killed, RSF said.

3. I can't help but feel that they have
been targetted INTENTIONALLY. How long before a soldier comes forward and admits this ?

9. I like a good evil regime story as much as the next guy, but...
How does this work out percentage wise?

Is it 66 Iraq journalists out of 10,000 vs 63 Vietnam journalists out of a hundred (just pulling numbers out of the air to illustrate the question)? Then again, Vietnam's toll was over many years, vice two years for Iraq.

I've done a little research trying to find an answer, and the only hard number I can come up with is 18 journalists for just the major networks... which is not a useful number.

Searching Jeeves did pull up this tidbit:
"A chief news executive at CNN, Eason Jordan, has placed himself in the center of another controversy. Jordan told an audience at the World Economic Forum (search) in Switzerland last month that the U.S. military may be targeting journalists in Iraq."

From Fox news, of all places....
