East Bank of Orleans and Jefferson Told to Evaculate
ALL RESIDENTS ON THE EAST BANK OF ORLEANS AND JEFFERSON REMAINING IN THE METRO AREA ARE BEING TOLD TO EVACUATE AS EFFORTS TO SANDBAG THE LEVEE BREAK HAVE ENDED. THE PUMPS IN THAT AREA ARE EXPECTED TO FAIL SOON AND 9 FEET OF WATER IS EXPECTED IN THE ENTIRE EAST BANK.

4. Jefferson Parish is supposed to be allowed back to
collect personal items in about a week, then will have to clear out for a month. I just closed the window where that was listed, and don't remember the URL. That was posted hours ago.

6. Yes, I just found it again myself. Here's the quote:
Jeff Parish President. Residents will probably be allowed back in town in a week, with identification only, but only to get essentials and clothing. You will then be asked to leave and not come back for one month.

8. Where are they going to go?
I live in central Mississippi's, right on the MS river, and every single hotel, building, etc.. is full as is all other surrounding areas. Besides this problem where are people going to get fuel to get anywhere? All of the gas stations in this area are out of fuel, and I am further away from the worst of it.
