Bush appeals for public support
Bush appeals for public support
From: Reuters From correspondents in San Diego
August 31, 2005

PRESIDENT George W Bush, facing waning support for his Iraq policy, today appealed to Americans not to waver because of the rising death toll and said US credibility was at stake.

With nearly 1900 US troops killed in Iraq and anti-war protesters trailing him from his secluded Texas ranch to California, Mr Bush has seen his job approval ratings plummet to the lowest levels of his presidency.
In a speech in which he sought to cast the conflict as the modern day equivalent of America's World War II struggle against Japan, Mr Bush said Americans "once again" had a stark choice to make.

"Now as then our enemies have made their fight a test of American credibility and resolve. Now as then they are trying to intimidate free people and break our will," Mr Bush said.

4. I can't believe this man.
Here we're facing a major catastrophe and he talks about Iraq. The southern states are sorely missing the National Guard, which was sent to Iraq.

This disaster is just opening up. We're just in the initial stages. Bush needs to change the channel and focus on THE U.S. Stupid fool.

Nobody is going to pay any attention to him.

You were NEVER elected by the will and law of the people. Your pResidency has been nothing but a giveaway to the corporate interests that supported you, your father and the insufferable raygun. May you all rot in hell for your crimes against this great country. History will not be kind. And well so.

20. So did I!
The miserable son of a bitch has completely lost any last shred of sanity, if he ever had any to begin with. People here, in our country, are dead, dying, homeless, and frightened. They are in a state of shock. So what does this pathetic man do? He tries to drum up support for his fucking war, which is taking our men and women away from their homes and families, killing and maiming them, and impoverishing the rest of us.

My husband and I have been in front of the t.v. most of the day, both of us crying. The pain and shock in people's faces is all too evident. Does the president care? HELL NO! He's so obsessed with his war, that everything else is invisible to him. On these grounds alone, he should be impeached, and that is the very least of the penalties he should pay. Spending the rest of his wretched life in prison should be his fate.

18. Hmm, that's a good idea. Lately I have been thinking of writing
a petition and gathering signatures. A real petition with real sigs. The way I see it, "We the people" ought to be able to impeach this SOB if our government won't. I know there's the website impeachbush.org I know that they have many, many supporters. So, surely, if our "representative" government fails to represent us, then we ought to be able to do it ourselves. At least until BushCo changes the laws so that we no longer have these rights. For now, the power of our government is, theoretically, in the people. So, what are we waiting for? I think we could do it. Although, I actually think it could happen anyway. Lots of people say that it won't b/c of all the Rethugs have control. It's true that our government's checks and balances have failed miserably. Nonetheless, I think that Chimpy is becoming a political leper...and politicians will abandon him in a heartbeat to preserve their own backsides. Just a thought.

15. here's your reply, you frickin' halfwit loser *moron
Down in the Flood
Crash on the levee, mama,
Water's gonna overflow,
Swamp's gonna rise,
No boat's gonna row.
Now, you can train on down
To Williams Point,
You can bust your feet,
You can rock this joint.
But oh mama, ain't you gonna miss your best friend
now?
You're gonna have to find yourself
Another best friend, somehow.

Now, don't you try an' move me,
You're just gonna lose.
There's a crash on the levee
And, mama, you've been refused.
Well, it's sugar for sugar
And salt for salt,
If you go down in the flood,
It's gonna be your own fault.
Oh mama, ain't you gonna miss your best friend now?
You're gonna have to find yourself
Another best friend, somehow.

Well, that high tide's risin',
Mama, don't you let me down.
Pack up your suitcase,
Mama, don't you make a sound.
Now, it's king for king,
Queen for queen,
It's gonna be the meanest flood
That anybody's seen.
Oh mama, ain't you gonna miss your best friend now?
Yes, you're gonna have to find yourself
Another best friend, somehow.

Come on!!!!!!!!! He could at least PRETEND to care by flying over the area before then.

And another thing......on the news they keep saying how shrub is cutting his vacation short to rush back to Washington to meet with agencies working on the disaster.

First of all, they make it sound like he is doing us a HUGE favor by skipping the last few days of his vacation.
Second, he didn't exactly RUSH back to Washington.
