Schwarzenegger Hints He Eyes Re - Election

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is beginning to sound like Candidate Schwarzenegger, hinting in interviews that he plans to run for re-election in 2006.

The Republican governor could announce his plans as soon as mid-September, around the state GOP convention and after the Legislature adjourns for the year. At the same time, he will be ramping up a campaign for three ballot initiatives set to go before voters in a Nov. 8 special election...

to fix the election I assume ...

This will be the test. If Ahnuld is re-elected so to speak, we will know that the machines are the winner in this game and there should never be another election again. 2006 is pointless.

14. He will only run if his approval ratings improve dramatically
He's a total wus. He will not run if he's not 100% sure he's going to win.

His popularity will improve or plummet depending on how the special election he's called ends up for him. Organized labor of all stripes (and in particular the teachers and nurses) are really doing a great job at educating people and getting them involved.

I don't think he's see a 1.8th term.
