Blair Vows to Stay Course in Iraq

The Associated Press

BRIGHTON, England - Prime Minister Tony Blair said Tuesday that the way to defend the innocent in Iraq "is not to retreat, to withdraw, to hand these people over to the mercy of religious fanatics or relics of Saddam."

...

"I know there are people, good people, who disagreed with the decision to remove Saddam by force," Blair said.

"Yes, several hundred people stoned British troops in Basra. Yes, several thousand run the terrorist insurgency around Baghdad. And yes, as a result of the fighting, innocent people tragically died," he added.

"But eight and a half million Iraqis showed which future they wanted when they came out and voted in January's elections. And the way to stop the innocent dying is not to retreat, to withdraw, to hand these people over to the mercy of religious fanatics or relics of Saddam, but to stand up for their right to decide their government in the same democratic way the British people do."

6. "eight and a half million Iraqis" (and how many women? 0?)
Poodle got a call from PoppyBush&Co at Carlyle ordering their backyard "woof-woof carpet" to vow "Stay Course" in Iraq...

There still R lots 'n lots 'n lots of Premium Quality light crude to steal away in the sands, AND lots 'n lots 'n lots 'n lots of IO-Us to issue and charge on the US working-class taxpayers after all... so, "Who cares about a few millions of Iraqi women's Rights, huh, BLiar?"

:nopity:
