A Former Republican Leader Is Charged With Sexually Abusing A Child


Former Floyd County republican leader Bobby Stumbo's case will be heard by a grand jury.

He is charged with sexually abusing a five year old boy.

During a preliminary hearing Wednesday, a judge decided there is enough evidence to move the case forward.

Police testified it all started when the boy returned home from his father's house and sat down with his mother.

"He kissed her, and when he kissed her, he stuck his tongue in her mouth. She asked him where he learned that, and the child told her Bobby did that to him, talking about Bobby Stumbo," Detective Byron Hansford said.

you, too, will see they are REPUBLICANS. REPUBLICANS. I've been posting at D.U. for probably 5 years, watching the headlines constantly, and I can't even remember ONE DEMOCRAT involved in any of the obnoxious stuff like child molestation, rapes, etc., even little odd ones like the Republican state senator who went to Florida on vacation and flashed in front of little kids at either a hot tub or pool, got in trouble, returned to Tennessee, where it was revealed he had done it there, too, and he went home and shot himself with his shotgun, to avoid the public humiliation.

You can satisfy your own curiosity by paying attention.

8. Wow, the way the article reads, his Mom, law enforcement and the judiciary

did all the right things once the child told them. Mom did NOT try to cover it up and believed her child, the police didn't try to hide it and the judge actually listened to the evidence. I hope it helps the boy recover.

It is a tendency.

The correct term for the behavior is 'child molestation' or 'child sexual abuse'.

That doesn't mean I approve of 'pedophilia' (I'm sorry that I have to say that), but people should be charged on <i>acts</i> not on beliefs or tendencies.

Merely labeling people 'pedophiles' (that's the oldest libel in the book) isn't going to solve the problem.

There are all sorts of people who abuse children, but they can get away with it if they're not also "pedophiles".

Address the behavior - all of it against children, not just sexual abuse. Stop talking around the problem by labeling anyone and everyone "a pedophile".

This is like some sort of mass hypnosis or something in the water. Is it the combination of power, stupidity, and being sexually uptight? Or were they beaten as children?

This is on the same scale as people who claim they were abducted by aliens. If true, scary, if not, it's a new psychological disorder.
