Pakistan nabs 230 al-Qaida suspects
Edited on Mon Oct-27-03 07:12 AM by dArKeR
Pakistan has netted 230 al-Qaida suspects in a military operation in the northwestern tribal region bordering Afghanistan this month, state media said yesterday.

The operation launched on October 2 is continuing in phases, Corps commander Lieutenant General Ali Muhammad Jan Aurakzai told a team of foreign diplomats on Saturday, according to the state-run Associated Press of Pakistan.

Three phases have been completed in the rugged tribal terrain and the fourth phase of the operation, named al-Meezan (balance), is currently under way, he told about 20 ambassadors and military attaches at the Corp Headquarters in the northwestern city of Peshawar.

Yeh Right! This should be good enough for another $50,000,000 of our tax dolloars going to Junta General Musharraf.

1. Musharraf's tract record is horrible
and yet we support him. Why? Is it cuz they got the big one?

Boy, do we have our priority's screwed up, and yet we keep giving Pakistan money. Or is that just for al-Meezan (balance) - what a joke!

5. Musharraf has made a good show, when it suits him,
of rounding up the usual suspects. Then, a few months later, releasing them.

Forget about the Saudis - it's the CIA-ISI-al Qaeda nexus which needs exposing, and which never will be by Pravda-USA.
