GOP rival hits Hillary up for money (bwahahahah...)
NEW YORK, Oct. 18 (UPI) -- Republican Senate hopeful Jeanine Pirro wasted 37 cents on a fundraising letter to the incumbent, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton.

The letter from Pirro's campaign was familiarly addressed to "Dear Hillary" and said, "I need you and every New Yorker," although it was sent to Clinton's former address at the White House in Washington. Clinton was asked to pony up $1,000.

"No wonder Ms. Pirro raised so little money," Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson told the New York Post.

Pirro is now district attorney in Westchester County, where Clinton and her husband own a house, and in August entered the race for the Republican nomination to run against Clinton next year.

With or without a donation from Clinton, she is an underdog candidate, struggling against the former First Lady's name recognition, incumbency and war chest and questions about her own husband's business dealings.

2. Sometimes they just blanket an area with mailings, playing the odds
And I think Hillary should have sent a check! $5 would prolly keep her on their mailing lists, and get her on more. Much easier to keep track of what they are saying about HILLARY! AND, since they have to report every contribution, the bookkeeping and more mailings would end up costing them WAY more than the fiver!

Nickle and dime the bastards to death!

5. Wow!
Are you saying if we gave every GOP creep running for office a dollar (no more!) we could tie them up in bureaucracy? Why, we might actually get election reform!

This, I like!

8. Think of it as a little bit of easy monkey wrenching
Plus, you get a lot of swell stuff from them to use against them

I also like to mess with their minds when they send postage paid return envelopes. Put in a bumper sticker or something like that to show them your true feelings. G W sent me a lovely picture of himself and Pickles (back at the beginning of 04) complete with postage paid envelope, to let him know the picture got there OK (I kid you not). I sent a bumper sticker back in the envelope: Somebody else for President!

Living in a VERY red rurual county, I get all sorts of interesting mail from idiots making assumptions about me based on my zip code. Sadly, I NEVER get mailings from any DEM organization, prolly for the same reason and despite being one of less than 8 registered DEMS in my county. DEMS need to work at sayin Howdy to red county residents. Might just find some who want to listen.

6. When I lived in PA I wrote a letter to Rick Santorum about an issue
even though I knew full well we disagreed on it, I wrote it anyways.

His reply: Tons of fundraising letters for his 2000 campaign

:puke:

7. That makes me want to apply on the GOP Campaign committee
website a few hundred times... I did that twice on the Dccc accidentally and they sent me two of those survey packets. I wouldn't be surprised if the nrsc did the same.
