Zim on 'brink of disaster' - Zimbabwe
Washington - Zimbabwe is on "the brink of disaster" and its people deserve new leadership, the outgoing top US diplomat for Africa said on Tuesday in a parting shot at President Robert Mugabe and his government.

Walter Kansteiner, the assistant secretary of state for African affairs who is stepping down to return to private life, said he regretted that more was not done to improve the lives of Zimbabweans during his two-year tenure.

"It is a country on the brink of disaster," he told reporters on his last day in office.

Any mention of Bush's Commitment to Africa? What has Bush done to help Africa beside run there to escape the US during the height of the WMD scandal?
