BCCI liquidators drop £1bn case
Liquidators for BCCI have dropped their £1bn ($1.76bn) damages case against the Bank of England.

Deloitte said it had made the decision after a reserve judgement from the High Court said the case was no longer in the best interest of creditors.

The liquidators claimed the Bank had knowingly failed to protect thousands of investors when BCCI collapsed.

Drug money from Colombia and Panama, funding for the Mujahideen in Pakistan, and Abu Nidal in the Middle East all flowed through its coffers.

4. this is a dirty secret in this country...
But the Bush family was in the thick of it as was Sadam Hussein. I guess this line of questioning will never be asked at trial-but boy would I love to quizz him on this.

5. As it is everywhere else,
since BCCI was a global operation with narcotics, money laundering, secret services, politicians, corporate big shots and terrorists from all over the place involved. This kind of shit is definitely not limited to the US.

Cute isn't it, that all we hear about the single biggest court case ever is the start and the end. Though it was to be expected that nothing much would come of this case.

6. The power of the Bush empire to project and to protect its evil
appears to have no limits.

Even if we are able to overwhealm their propaganda machine, and their corruption of the US election process, and vote them and their cabal from office, they with their billions of dollars would still be in place pushing the levers of power.

7. "they" are not just BushCo; "they" are banks and profiteers of
all stripes, nationalities and internationality---"they" are the military-industrial-Congressional complex and "they" are large and powerful. Very difficult to get the truth out about everything but we need to keep cleaning house as best we can.

8. Agree. However, my premise is that the Bush empire
has its tentacles into a large number of these entities.
