Democratic Senators Listed As Sponsors For GOP Fundraiser
Democratic Senators Listed As Sponsors For GOP Fundraiser

POSTED: 8:41 am CST November 7, 2005
UPDATED: 8:51 am CST November 7, 2005

JACKSON, Miss. -- Eight of Mississippi's Democratic state senators are listed as co-sponsors of a fundraiser for Charlie Ross -- one of their Republican colleagues who's running for lieutenant governor.

The fundraiser is Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum in Jackson. It costs $500 per person or per couple.

The invitation said the event is to honor Ross for his leadership on tort reform.

Ross helped push through laws last year to limit where lawsuits can be filed and how much can be awarded.

Democratic Sen. Ezell Lee of Picayune said he did not know he was signing on to sponsor a fundraiser. He thought he was simply putting his name on a resolution to honor Ross for tort reform.

5. Good God does their dishonesty know no bounds?
The one guy claims he was duped into sponsoring this... I'd like to hear about the other 7.

Good Grief.

7. You Know, Dem Senators Have Also Shown Up At Moonie Events
Edited on Mon Nov-07-05 12:56 PM by cryingshame
oddly, I'm willing to consider that those 7 Democrats weren't aware of what was going on.

there was a story yesterday about GOP person who worked for the GOP party calling up election office reporting an entire building was invalid. He forced thousands of building's residents to have to go to court to get their vote count.

Point being, GOP'ers excel at being deceitful, lying bastards.

12. Why the hell are dems supporting his efforts to strip citizens of the
right to hold businesses and individuals accountable for their mistakes/misdeeds, in the first place? Why are they stripping jurors of the right to make decisions based on facts presented at trials? Why aren't people pissed that the fact that this 'dem' is supporting a republican's efforts to curb accountability and strip people of their rights?

They'll sell you down the river, and then pollute it behind you.
