By Wei Gu

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Electronic Data Systems Corp. , the No. 2 computer services company, on Wednesday posted a small third-quarter loss and said it will cut 2,500 more jobs than it had planned.

----snip----

EDS has been trying to align costs with the weak pricing it has faced. The job cuts, which will total 5,200 by the end of 2004, would save $330 million to $360 million, EDS said. It took a $159 million charge related to restructuring in the third quarter.
