1. Let me get this straight |
|
He funneled federal money to the Virginia republican party, setting himself up for a Senate/Governor/maybe even Prez run and nobody really says anything about it...
20 bucks say a Dem would have been frog marched off Capitol hill for this.

2. You must not have gotten the memo |
|
It's only bad and wrong when a Dem does it. When a Repug does it, it is a savvy political strategy.

5. From What The Article Says, it's Repug Money, not Tax Dollars |
|
He channelled the money from National Fundraising to Virginia. Nothing I read looks like he did anything illegal, but I don't know if the rest of his party is happy with what he did.

6. thats what i was wondering |

It's early, and Im still recovering from a calc midterm, the article didn't make much sense to me.... If it's repug federal money, and they're pissed at him for giving it to a specific state...then all the better, any fighting in their own party is good news

You mean, like fundraising at a Buddhist Temple?*
Of course, it never actually happened, what Gore did that day wasn't illegal, and was perfectly aboveboard and honest, but admit it: Everyone who read that first line knew exactly what I was talking about. That's the Republican platform, bereft of ideas, heavy on lies and innuendo.

by yours truly -- he is my Congressman, I heard all about his private life from a local politician and posted the info. in the GD forum a couple of months ago. Typical Repug hypocrite, leaving his wife high and dry.

And I've always hated having that smarmy bastard representing me. Wonder if the Fairfax dems are twirling their pointy mustaches at the opportunities this might provide, or is it just another Repuke hyprocrite forgetting those family values?
